Hello,
Just wanted to remind you that there are only five shopping days left without paying extra for shipping to arrive in time for Christmas! We can make something that is truly unique for the unique person you are shopping for. Remember, anything that is custom on the cookies is FREE of charge.
A cookie bouquet is the perfect gift to hide an engagement ring in. We can even put "Will You Marry Me" right on the cookies! Another fun gift idea if you are going to surprise your family with a "baby on the way" announcement is with baby cookies.
We wish you the best as you hustle and bustle about taking in all the festivities. Christmas is such a good time in helping us remember all the special people that are in our lives. Blessing to you all.

Busy Baking!
Hello,
What a wonderful day it is outside here at the cookie shop. It will be hard to concentrate on the work to be done while wanting to be outside. Since we have a cute table and chairs out front, I think we will have to have our breaks out there today.
Everyone is busy making all kinds of special treats for us to sell at the Farmer's Market in Lisbon, ND next week. The days are Tues. and Fri. We have a large variety and hope that we will have something for everyone.
The Fondant is definitely softer in the shop right now. This is due to the fact that it is warm outside and we add to the temperature when we bake. So, that is one nice surprise that the Fondant is easier to roll and cut. Hey, we have even started putting Fondant shapes that we have painted on top of our lollipops! This makes the decorating ideas endless. Right now we have faces and flowers. We even have smaller lollipops that fit on the end of pencils. This is a cute treat/gift to give to your friends, for birthday treat bags, and visiting grand kids. Some of the flavors that we have are cinnamon, black licorice, cherry, apple, grape, and orange. We are soon adding root beer and raspberry. We will have these in Lisbon at the Farmer's Market as well.
Just wanted to remind everyone that we have Baklava for sale at the shop. This is an extra special treat as it is hard to make, time consuming, and expensive. Each box has around 12 pieces so it works great for the office, church circle, or other kinds of meetings that you may have. You will surely be the highlight of the meeting. Take care,
~Julie

Holiday Fever !
Hello,
Well you can tell that everyone is gearing up to celebrate the fourth! Here at the shop, we are taking a day off. We will be closed on Friday . We have plenty of wonderful cookies that you can bring to any barbecue or picnic. They are nice because you don't have to worry about them spoiling or having to keep them at a certain temperature. It makes me wonder; how many hot dogs and hamburgers does the US family cook over the weekend?
On Friday we were given the most amazing tasting truffle to try. We are definitely getting the recipe so that we can make and sell them in the cookie shop. We will keep the flavor a secret for now. We love recipes here, so if you have any tried and true wonderfully looking and tasting recipes, we would appreciate if you share them. If we use your recipe to sell in the shop, we will give you a $50 gift certificate!
FYI: We will be traveling a bit over the summer. Starting July 14th we are going to Lisbon to sell at the Farmer's Market. Yea! It will be two days a week. Tuesday and Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30 approximately 1 block South of Subway. We plan on bringing all kinds of goodies. WE can even take orders there as well.
Remember to take time to pray for all the troops that have and currently are protecting all of our freedoms and to say thanks. Let's send them as many care packages as we can that are filled with love and maybe COOKIES!

Fourth of July Cookies!
Hello,
Well, we had a great time at the Taste of Home Cooking School. Even though the weather sure didn't want to cooperate, you came anyway. We had just finished hauling in all our cookies and supplies and had started to set up our booth, when the first storm hit. Man, did the rain come down. A half an hour later, another storm dumped rain. People were starting to arrive by then, and they were completely soaked!
It was fun to see the familiar faces that have visited our shop before. It was great to see the reactions of the people that haven't seen our cookies before. We want to remind all of you, that you are invited to stop by anytime. We still do tours, so if you have a group looking for a fun outing, contact us to set something up.
WE HAVE WINNERS!!! Here is the list of door prize winners at our booth during the Taste of Home Cooking School: Dick Zimmerman, Joni Rone, Sabrina Scoles, Suzy Juelfs, and Mary Carlson.
Fourth of July celebration is just around the corner. Can you believe that it is almost July? Time travels so fast these days. Check out our fire cracker cookies. This is a fun way to decorate your table in a festive manner, and you get to eat the decorations! A neat gift idea is to pick out the candy by the pound that you like and we can put them in a decorative box with a Fourth of July cookie in the middle. It sure is cute, and there is nothing like it around this area. We can write on the cookie to turn it into an edible Greeting Card as well.
Have a terrific week.

Cookies for Taste of Home Cooking School!!!
Hello,
We are so excited at the shop! Later today we are going to get the chance to meet Danielle Edmonds, Culinary Specialist, at an Appreciation Social. She will be signing autographs in the Taste of Home cookbooks that are now available for purchase. Of course we are bringing some cookies that we have made especially for her.
The next thing that we are excited about is that we will be spending the afternoon tomorrow setting up our booth at the Expo Center in Lisbon for the Taste of Home cooking show that evening. Remember, the show opens their doors at 4pm. At that time, you will be able to visit all the booths. We will be offering free sample cookies of our delicious hand painted cookie. We will have Father's Day cookies as well as occasion cookies, summer fun cookies, chocolate chip cookie cakes, decorated brownies, hand made suckers, Baklava (a special treat), all for sale. We can keep your purchases in our booth for you until the cookie show is done. That way you won't have to carry them around. I almost forgot! We will be giving away door prizes from our booth and we will have a show special on our 1 cookie bouquets.
Thank you to all that have stopped by our shop while you were attending the Smithsonian Journey Stories. It was fun to meet you and share our cookies with you. Remember, you can stop back at any time.
I promised you that we would share some of our recipes with all of you. Here is the first one:
DATE NUT BREAD
2 cups Amport chopped dates
2 cups boiling water
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tbl shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. salt
3 cups flour
1 cup walnuts
Pour boiling water over chopped dates and soda. Let cool. Mix sugar, shortening, egg, and salt. Add the cooled date mixture, flour, and chopped nuts. Pour into two bread pans. Bake 1 hour at 350F. Remove from pans to cool on rack. It is fun to add a glaze of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla, drizzled across the top.
Have a terrific day!

Still making hot drinks at the shop
Hello,
Well, everyone says that the cold weather is finally going to leave us. I'll wait to comment until we see it. So for now, we are still making our fresh ground coffee, steamer drinks, hot Mocha lattes, and teas We have many flavors to choose from for the steamer drinks. Sit, and enjoy your drink while browsing through our many picture books of what we have done with cookies. Ordering is easy, and gives you the chance to pick the colors and verbiage that you want. Not too many cookie shops give the custom design option!
If the warm weather decides to show up, we are ready. We have an Iced Mocha, Frozen Lemonade drinks, teas, and more. These can be enjoyed with looking through our books outside at the front of the shop. We have a table and chairs with a neat sunflower umbrella. It makes you feel like you are off in another country!
I want to remind you about our tours. We have two kinds that we offer. The first one is just coming to the back, learning and watching how we process and ship our cookies. The second one is more hands on. You learn, watch, and actually get the chance to draw on a cookie to take with you.
We are getting some neat cookies ready for the Taste of Home Cooking Show! Be sure to get your tickets so that you can attend. We will have a booth and sell our products starting at 4pm. Sign up for our door prizes, and we can even hold your purchases for you until the end of the show.
If you would like to receive emails from us from Constant Contact just call 1 866 828 3778 or send us your email. We offer cookies for sale that are not on our Website, special deals, coupons, etc.

Sun is out.....It's a good day!
Hello,
A bit chilly with the wind today, but it sure makes it easy for us to get a lot done at the cookie shop when the beautiful sun is shinning. Now that it is summer time, I wanted to remind you that we make wonderful sun shaped cookies. We can put several different face designs on top of the sun. We can write words on the sun as well.
The sun works well for an out door birthday party, a pick me up for someone that is sad or not feeling very well, or the sun compliments the watering can and flower cookies. A person just can't help but smile when you see the sun cookie.
New at the shop! We now have many different kinds of soft and hard candies for in- shop purchasing. It is easy. You take a clear bag and go around and choose the candy that you would like. Tie the bag shut, and the price is determined by the pound, so you decide how much you would like to spend. Perfect as party favors. Perfect as a gift placed in our clear top box with a cookie in the middle. What could possibly be better than cookies and candies together!!
We are going to experiment with egg less cookie dough for ice cream drinks. If anyone has any suggestions we would welcome them. We have a company that is looking for a supplier and we said that we would see what we could come up with. Take care,
~Julie

The Journey Begins
Father's Day is fast approaching. We can do just about any design, so "wow", we have come up with some fun dad's cookies. Trucks, race cars, golf, fishing, monograms, horses, tools, southwest, animals, shirts, ties, and many more. Contact us at www.blessmybloomincookies@hotmail.com or 1 866 828 3778.
Today was a fun day at the shop. It is always exciting to see customers come into the shop for the first time. Their eyes light up with delight at all the fun edible items we sell. Although today, everyone had a mission. First, they had to stop by the library and pick up their "passport" to take a journey around town. Each of the businesses provided either samplings of ethnic foods or handed out novelty/travel items. We stamped their passport with proof of their visit. When they had at least 10 listed on their passport, they could have their name entered into a drawing to win a set of luggage!
The food samples that we offered were; Lefse, Kringle, Krumkake, and Norwegian Wedding Cake. Do you get the theme that we had? Each business represented different ethnic backgrounds. Ours was fairly natural considering we all have some Scandinavian in us!

Out of the Mouths of Babes
Friday May 8th was a fun day for me! I was part of a panel discussion class for Marketplace For Kids. The title of the class that we taught was "Be Your Own Boss". Steve Aune and Dallas from Country Financial and Tiffany Johnson, D.C. from Healing Touch Chiropractic all from Fargo were part of the panel. We were at Concordia College in Fargo, ND. Imagine owning your own business. No worries, you're the boss! You work when you want to--or do you? The students learned what it is like to start, own, and operate your own business.
We had five classes of 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. Man, they had so many great questions and seemed to really enjoy hearing what we had to say. Of course, the kids were pretty excited when they found out that they each got to take a cookie with them at the end of the class period.
It was fun to see the enthusiasm the students had for Marketplace for Ideas for Kids. This program is definitely growing young Entrepreneurs. I just wish that we would have had this opportunity when I was younger. We may have been making cookies a lot sooner!
Everyone at the shop is gearing up for The Taste of Home Cooking School Thursday, June 18th at the Expo Center in Lisbon, ND. The Taste of Home Magazine is conducting the class. We will be sponsoring a booth at the show. We plan on having samples, door prizes, Father's Day cookies as well as many neat bouquets for sale. Doors open at 4pm. Be sure to stop by and visit with us!

We are back!
It was a fun time (except the traffic) at the Midwest Wholesale Medical Gift Show Buyer's Show. I had never been to Rochester before and I thank Kodee for the use of his Tom Tom. Boy does that help when you don't know where you are going!!
Our booth was on a corner in the building with a balloon shop next to us and a stuffed animal shop across from us. It is always fun when you see the faces of the people the first time that they look at our products and realize that they can eat them! We were able to sell the items that we displayed as well as take orders. Our first time there, we learned quite a bit. There was one other cookie shop, carmel shop, and chocolate shop as well. That was the only food. We handed out samples that were attached to our business card. Everyone thought that was a clever idea.
On the way home, we stopped at several shops in Alexandria hoping to connect with wholesales there also. There is some awesome shops in that town! We didn't see anything like our cookies, so we are checking out the possibilities. All in all, we were dog tired at the end of three days, but once again enjoyed getting out to the public and showing them our cookies.

Nothing Grows Under Our Feet!
We are busy around the shop getting cookies ready to take to Rochester to a wholesale show Tuesday, May 5th. The show features buyers from a five state area that purchase products to sell in gift shops at various hospitals.
We know that our cookies can brighten a patient's day or give that special congratulations to the new addition to the family. They are perfect because they are great to look at, and when the patient feels better or goes home, our cookies are still fresh to eat.
Just a reminder about our wonderful Herb Parmesan Bread that we offer. It makes such a nice gift with the seasoning packet that is included to put in extra virgin olive oil for a dip. We put a nice bow around the packaged bread so this would also make a nice Mother's Day gift.
Next week is Teacher's Appreciation Week. Teachers have such an important influence on our next generation and it would be wonderful if we let them know how appreciated they are. Speaking of saying "Thanks", we would like to shout out a huge thank you to all the wonderful people that volunteer their time here at the shop. Many a time we probably would not have met our deadlines without all their wonderful help. A huge "Thank You" to Bernice, Clarene, Kodee, Paula, Rachel, and Amber.
Tomorrow a new month! We hope this one brings us more sunshine and heat. We are gearing up our graduation cookies at the shop. Watch for some pictures and remember to place your orders as soon as possible. Take care and enjoy!

Moms are dear to our hearts. Everyone at the shop is a mom! Remember, we love to customize our cookies. We can write what your heart says right on the cookie. Your mom will love the wonderful almond taste in our hand painted sugar cookies. These are the old fashioned HOMEMADE with tender loving care cookies that can only come from mom.
Be sure to call or email your order in soon, so that we will have time to ship the cookies to arrive in time for the celebration. These cookies are perfect for moms that are in nursing homes and not able to get out. It brings a little spring inside for mom to enjoy.
Also don't forget our Chocolate Chip Cookie Cakes. We can make any kind of design you would like. This is perfect if your mom will have company. She can share her gift!

Professional Administrative Week
We have the perfect cookie bouquets to say "Thank You" to all the professionals for their hard work. The dates are April 19th - April 25th. Wednesday is Professional Administrative Day. It can be as simple as one cookie, or up to twelve cookies!
Our new Chocolate Chip Cookie Cakes work well for this also. We can write your thank you message on top of the cake. You decide the design and how to personalize it. Each cake is 9x13. An entire double batch of chocolate chip cookies makes one cake. The fondant frosting is perfect for all the hand painting.
